Peggy Braswell has been in the creative arts field for over 30 years, starting her
career as an art director/producer/stylist in multimedia for clients such as clothing
companies, music videos and documentaries etc.
The last fifteen years have been devoted to Interiors for design projects with clients
across the US and Europe. In 2007, Peggy Braswell opened a new
design studio/shop called BRASWELL, located in Culver City, California.
BRASWELL is a place to come for inspiration, and the shop’s installations
recall some of Peggy’s favorite moments in her design career. The furniture is custom
designed by BRASWELL and made in Los Angeles from reclaimed wood.
“It starts in my head as an idea, about 5 weeks later we have the custom piece in
the shop.” Still other pieces are found during Peggy’s many travels.
Inspirations are many in BRASWELL and the shop has diverse price
points that are the key to a good mix. ”I love the mix—I find that varying price
points are exactly what most people would like to have in their homes. When I am
shopping for the shop and a client, what concerns me most is aesthetic value and
weight, not the price.” BRASWELL the shop has
lighting, paintings, rugs, and unusual accessories.
